Ridge to host luminary event
A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE: The Mineral Ridge Historical Society will hold a “Walk Down Memory Lane” from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mineral Ridge Middle School on state Route 46. In 1924, the cornerstone for the school building was laid. In March 1935 the school was dedicated. The luminary night event is to commemorate the 89 years students have attended the school. In case of severe weather and the school is closed, the event will be held March 13.
PROGRAM ON DR. SEUSS: St. Patrick School in Hubbard will hold a program at 1 p.m. Friday on Dr. Seuss. There will be stories, activities and a visit from Cat in the Hat. The program is part of the free community series for 4- and 5-year-olds called “Fun For 4s and 5s.” The once-a-month program will be at the school. There will be music. FAIR FOR KIDS: A Children’s Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Church Hill United Methodist Church, 189 Churchill-Hubbard Road, Liberty. There will be food, games, cake walk, fish pond and prizes.
