Model train flea market set

TRAIN FLEA MARKET: The Youngstown Model Railroad Association will hold a toy train and model railroad flea market from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at McMenamy’s Banquet Hall, 325 Youngstown Warren Road, Niles. CELEBRATING COMMUNITY UNITY: The Warren National Association fro the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will hold a celebration of community unity at 5 p.m. Saturday at 1230 Palmyra Road S.W., Warren. There will be contemporary jazz and vendor market place.

CHECKING OUT HUNGER: Walgreens stores in Mahoning and Trumbull counties will participate in Check Out Hunger, a component of the Harvest for Hunger campaign, through March 31. Customers may tear off a $1, $5 or $10 coupon available at the register that will be added to their bill.

For every $1 raised, the food bank can distribute $15 worth of food to families in the Mahoning Valley. All money raised and food collected will remain in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties to feed friends and neighbors.

SOCIETY TO HOST EVENT: The Bristol Historical Society will hold the third annual dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the township hall. Wendell Lauth will present the program “A History Lesson.”

The society is sponsoring a trip to Lancaster County, Pa., and the production of “Moses” June 16 to 18. Reservation deadline for the trip is April 4. Call 330-889-2555.

BEREAVEMENT SESSION HELD: Blessed Sacrament Parish, 3020 Reeves Road N.E., Warren, will offer bereavement sessions for anyone who has lost a loved one in the past two years, and would like to learn about grief with others also experiencing loss. The four-week sessions will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, March 19 and 26, and April 2 and 9 at the parish.
