Club to host spring carnival

CLUB HOSTS CARNIVAL: The Howland High School Interact Club will hold a spring carnival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the high school gym and cafeteria, 200 Shaffer Drive. The group hopes to provide a kid-friendly atmosphere for preschoolers to fifth-graders. There will be games and food in the gym. Local vendors from the Howland Farmer’s Market will be in attendance.

PACKARD ELECTRIC RETIRES MEET TODAY: Packard Electric and Delphi Packard Local 717’s Retirees will meet at 10:30 a.m. today at Local 717’s Union Hall, 2950 Sferra Ave., Warren Commerce Park. Members attending are asked to bring a labeled, covered dish and table service. Guests this month will be representatives from Dayton: Kim Short from IUE-CWA and Donna Foster from MB Senior Solutions.

CLEANUP SET: Spring cleanup at Girard City Cemetery will be held through Sunday for removing Christmas decorations from the graves. After Sunday, employees will remove Christmas decorations in preparation for Easter and Memorial Day.

BENEFIT PLANNED: Victory Christian Schools’ 15th annual benefit auction will be held at 7 p.m. April 4 at the school, 2053 Pleasant Valley Road, Liberty. There will be a silent auction at 5 p.m. and live auction at 7 p.m. For tickets or information, call 330-539-9827.

AUTISM GROUP TO MEET: Social Connections, the teen and young adult social group of the Autism Society of Ohio, Mahoning Valley, will hold a bowling night from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Camelot Lanes, 628 Boardman Canfield Road, Youngstown. Social Connections was launched in May 2013 to provide opportunities for those on the spectrum to socialize, form friendships and address general issues of interest to them all in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
