Agency receives school supplies
WARREN – Children serviced by Trumbull County Children Services were given new school supplies thanks to a local effort by the United Way and local auto parts stores.
Ginny Pasha, president of the United Way of Trumbull County said the staff of Trumbull County Children’s Services Board worked together as an agency to support the school supply drive.
“We saw first-hand how hard it is for families to find the funds necessary to purchase school supplies for the second semester, and wanted to do something to help,” said Julia Vandergriff, supervisor of administrative services for TCCS.
She said $200 was raised through dress-down days to purchase supplies that were dropped into collection receptacles at auto parts stores in the area.
Items collected included crayons, pencils, notebooks, folders, glue sticks and paper.
