Supervisor honored for service

CORTLAND – Liberty Township resident Bruce Lev was recognized for his years of service as a supervisor of the Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District.

Lev was presented with a proclamation by the Trumbull County Commissioners and with a plaque from the SWCD.

Lev, along with his wife, Candace, operate a 150-acre tree farm in Columbiana County. He owns Lev and Titan Construction Companies, where he builds homes and condos throughout the Mahoning Valley.

Lev is a graduate of Regis College in Denver, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and has further attended classes at Youngstown State University.

Lev also serves as a board member of the Rodef Sholom Temple and also serves on the national board of the Jewish Council of Public Affairs.

He is a past president of the local Home Builders Association and vice president of the Association of Neighborhood Centers.

Mike Wilson, president of the SWCD, said SWCD supervisors are elected public officials who volunteer to assist residents and property owners with natural resource issues.

Each county in Ohio has five SWCD Supervisors serving scattered three year terms and are elected by the residents and property owners of their county.
