Clocks topic of society program

HISTORY OF CLOCKS: The Vienna Historical Society will host the program “Trumbull County Clock Industry” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the township hall, state Route 193.

Speaker Chris Klingemier will discuss the history of clocks in Trumbull County, Vienna’s clock factory history, and the Lambert Lewis house demolition.

ART ACTIVITY FOR KIDS: “Art in the Afternoon” for children in first to sixth grades will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Warren-Trumbull County Main Library, 444 Mahoning Ave., Warren. Children will be able to be creative and experiment with different art media.

BASEBALL TOPIC OF BLACK HISTORY: As part of the Black History series at Kent State University at Trumbull in Champion, Leslie Heaphy of the Kent State history department will speak about the Negro Baseball League from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the lower commons of the building.

MOBILE MEALS MENTOR UP: Trumbull Mobile Meals in partnership with, Mentor Up and the Meals On Wheels Association of America, announced Love Letters, a campaign that encouraged teens to make handmade Valentine’s Day cards to lift the spirits of older adults across the country during a peak time of isolation and depression. The agency received more than 50 cards for clients.
