Family Fun Day planned at Youngstown State

FAMILY FUN DAY PLANNED: The Meridian Community Care, Youngstown State University, is holding a Family Fun Day from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Stambaugh Stadium Gyms A, B and C. Enter stadium through doors by the ticket office.

The days will include activities to help build close relationships with children. The event will include bounce-a-rounds, clowns, skills clinics with athletes and refreshments.

EVENT TO BENEFIT AWL: A wine and chocolate tasting to benefit the Animal Welfare League will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Leo’s Ristorante, 7042 E. Market St., Howland.

The event will include a silent auction, a lottery tree, a “Table of Cheer” and a 50-50 raffle. Proceeds will benefit the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County.

ULSTER PROJECT PLANS EVENT: The Mahoning Valley Ulster Project is hosting a fundraiser from 2 to 6 p.m. Feb. 9 at Avion Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Proceeds from the event will be used for needed funds for the summer program involving bringing 12 Northern Irish teens to the Mahoning Valley. The event will include an auction, 50-50 raffle and giveaways.

CHECK PRESENTED: The Home Savings Charitable Foundation plans to present a $10,000 check to the YWCA of Youngstown. The funds will be used to sponsor Women Artists: A Celebration.
