Mission seeks items for events

MISSION NEEDS ITEMS FOR EVENTS: The Warren Family Mission is planning holiday events.

A community Christmas meal is being planned for Dec. 23 and the annual holiday toy giveaway for Dec. 21 at the 361 Elm Road location. The Mission has added something new on Christmas Day, providing a place for those who don’t have family to come.

The toy giveaway is for children in need. These children have already been registered. The parents / caregivers will pick up their toys on Dec. 21 and the times were assigned to them when they signed up. Food items are needed for the dinner and unwrapped toys and gifts for children newborn to teenagers.

Monetary donations or gift cards will be received. Donations can be dropped off at 2671 Youngstown Road or 361 Elm Road. Monetary donations can also be made via the Warren Family Mission’s webpage: www.warren-familymission.com or call 330-394-5437.

GROUP TO VISIT MUSEUM: Social Connections, the teen and young adult social group of the Autism Society of Ohio, Mahoning Valley, will hold a seasonal field trip for ages 18 to 25 at 6 p.m. Thursday to the Arms Family Museum, 648 Wick Ave., Youngstown. ASO-MV hosts the group at 5:30 on the fourth Wednesday of every month for field trips or meetings at the Autism Society of Ohio Family Resource Center at the Ohio One Building in downtown Youngstown.

A small membership fee will be assessed to cover the costs of the program. Preregistration is requested. Call 330-743-9184 or e-mail mahoningvalley@autismohio.org.
