Shop with a Cop event planned

COPS TO HELP RAISE FUNDS: Police officers with the Kinsman Police Department will be waiting tables from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Auntie V’s Restaurant to work for tips to be used for Shop with a Cop program where police officers take children from the community Christmas shopping. Last year $1,000 was spent on children and included a pizza party at Auntie V’s.

HUBBARD TO DELIVER MEALS: Hubbard city and township senior citizen shut-ins needing a Thanksgiving dinner are asked to call the mayor’s office at 330-534-3090. Volunteers will deliver the meals at noon on Thanksgiving Day. Reservations are needed by Nov. 26.

CLOTHES EFFORT UNDERWAY: Girard First United Methodist Church has a Coats for Kids project underway. The church is collecting monetary donations to purchase new winter coats for children in need in the Girard area. The church works with Girard city schools to help families. SENIOR PLAYERS SET EVENTS: The Trumbull Senior Production Company under the direction of Jason Burgermyer performed recently at the Eastwood Mall Center court in Niles. The mission of the company is to enrich the lives and health of people age 50 and older through performances and participation in annual musical productions including all aspects of the performing arts while striving for professionalism. Mini shows are planned at Friday at Over the Hill Gang in Brookfield on Dec. 9 at the Saxon Club, Dec. 18 at Girard Senior Citizens and Feb. 22 for DAR. For information, call 330-847-6888.
