Bigfoot hunters to speak Saturday

SEARCHING FOR BIGFOOT: The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library will present “The Search for Bigfoot” at 2 p.m. Saturday. Investigators with the Southeastern Ohio Society for Bigfoot Investigation will describe their experiences in the hunt for the elusive creature. Investigator Doug Waller will discuss his new book. The society was formed in 2008 and meets in Cambridge. The program is free.

BIRDS PROGRAM: The “Birds In Your Backyard!” free program by Ohio State University Master Gardener Fred Schwab will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the classroom at Trumbull Agricultural Center, 520 W. Main St. Cortland.

SCRAP TIRES COLLECTED: Howland Township is holding a scrap-tire drop off for township residents only. Residents may leave up to eight passenger tires only with no rims at the Public Works Department, 3600 North River Road between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Friday.

SOCIETY TO MEET: The Trumbull County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will meet at 10:15 a.m. today in the Thomas Meeting Room at the Warren-Trumbull Public Library in Warren. Judge Thomas Swift will speak.
