Sutliff summer open house set
SUTLIFF HOLDS SUMMER EVENT: The Sutliff Museum’s summer open house will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the museum on the second floor of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library. The museum is decorated in Victorian style with patriotic themes and natural materials from the seashore capturing the spirit of the late 1800s. The parlor area is complete with furniture and decorative items from the 1850 Levi Sutliff home on High Street in Warren.
Homemade cookies and punch will be served at the free event. The Warren Library Association operates the museum.
SOCIETY HOSTS FESTIVAL: The Cortland-Bazetta Historical Society will hold its annual strawberry festival and band concert from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Trumbull County Agriculture Center, West Main Street, Cortland. Food, beverages and strawberry sundaes will be available.
Cortland Community Band and the Full House Band will perform. The local Master Gardeners will have activities for children in the children’s garden. Call 330-638-6554 for more information.
SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM: Agape Assembly Church, 426 Nevada Ave. S.W., Warren, will host a summer recreation program 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday to Aug. 1. The recreation program includes a variety of sports, crafts, and a partnership with the Community Garden on York Avenue in which youths may participate. Lunch will be served daily.
The program is open to youths ages 6 to 18.
