Motorcycle run to buy kids bikes

EVENT TO HELP KIDS GET BIKES: Forever Two Wheelz is holding its third annual charity motorcycle run on Saturday, with signup starting at Shorty’s, 2855 Highland Ave., Warren. The first bike goes out at noon. There will be a Chinese auction, 50/50, food and a live band at the last stop on the run.

For more information or to make a donation, contact 330-306-2046. Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase new children’s bicycles and repair gently used bicycles to give to area children in need.

CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT: The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department will hold a benefit cornhole tournament at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at RP McMurphy’s Bar and Grill, 1428 Standard Ave., Masury. Signup is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will include a 50-50 raffle and Chinese auction.

SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM: Agape Assembly Church , 426 Nevada Ave. S.W., Warren, will be hosting its summer recreation program from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday through Aug. 1. The program includes a variety of sports, crafts and a partnership with the Community Garden on York Avenue that youth may participate in, with lunch served daily. The program is open to youth ages 6 to 18.

ASSOCIATION HOLDS OPEN HOUSE: The Harriet Taylor Upton Association will hold their monthly open house from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the Upton House, 380 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren. The home includes items of woman suffragette Harriet Taylor Upton. The open house is free.

PREPARING FOR CONCERT: The Warren City-Wide Youth Choir is preparing for its third annual summer concert at 6 p.m. July 21 at the Warren Community Amphitheater.

The choir is seeking sponsorships from individuals and businesses to purchase ads in their concert souvenir booklet to raise funds for its scholarship fund and future outreach endeavors. Patron donors are also welcomed. A freewill offering will also be taken at the event.

Churches, businesses, organizations, and individuals wishing to purchase an ad may visit
