Wolves award scholarships

WARREN – The Trumbull County Chapter of the National Association of Wolves recently honored 11 Trumbull County high school seniors at its annual scholarship dinner held at Leo’s Ristorante.

Nicholas Brancassio of Howland was the winner of the Pete P. Rossi Memorial Academic Achievement Scholarship. John Norman of Girard was awarded the Anthony Pizzulo Memorial Scholarship.

David Leo, scholarship chairman, said this year the Wolves Club awarded a total of $22,000.

The Wolves Club is a professional organization tracing its ideals of learning, discovery and public service to the founding of ancient Rome.

Leo said the Trumbull County Wolves Club has awarded $398,350 over the past 28 years to 229 students, and the Wolves Cub of Ohio and Pennsylvania has awarded more than $6 million in its 52-year existence.
