Neighborhood cleanup set

NEIGHBORHOOD SETS CLEANUP: The Southwest Tod Avenue Neighborhood cleanup will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Volunteers and residents will pick up litter and clean up vacant lots along Tod Avenue. Residents are to meet in the parking lot at 9 a.m. and bring their own lawn care tools.

One Health Ohio will provide a free fruit breakfast, shelter and water from their mobile dental van at the Warren West Community Health Center’s parking lot at Tod and Palmyra Road. Throughout the morning, One Health Ohio is providing free blood pressure screenings.

CHURCH HOSTS GIVEAWAY: Leavittsburg Church of God, 610 S. Leavitt Road, is hosting a free clothing giveaway from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Donations of clothing in good condition are also being accepted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. For information, call the church office at 330-898-1131.

WORKSHOPS OFFERED AT GALLERY: The Art Outreach Gallery in the Eastwood Mall, Niles, will hold youth summer workshops and children’s programs from Monday to July 13. Additional youth classes have been added to the schedule.

Workshops are designed for students 3 to 18 years of age. Area art educators and education students will conduct the workshops. There is no fee. Space and supplies are limited. Students must register. Call 330-544-5929.

RECYCLING CONTAINERS REMOVED: The recycling dropoff containers located at the Warren City Fire Station 6, 2454 Parkman Road, have been permanently removed due to an increase in the dumping of garbage, broken glass, trash and cardboard causing unsightly and unsafe conditions in their parking lot.

UPCYCLING ART: The Brookfield Library Branch, 7032 Grove St., will hold Upcycled Art at 2:30 p.m. Monday for children in fifth to 12th grades. Participants will reimage art from everyday objects and recyclables.
