GROUP PLANS EARTH DAY CLEANUP: Community Concerned Citizens II is holding the 13th annual Earth Day cleanup and community rummage sale at 9 a.m. Saturday at Quinby Park. Those attending are asked to bring rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, blowers and work gloves. Bags and latex gloves will be provided. For information, call 330-719-3139.

COMMUNITY FAIR SET AT KENT: A campus community fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kent State University at Trumbull Classroom / Administration Building. The free event is being hosted by the School of Nursing and will feature a variety of vendors with health care information and screening services. For information, call 330-847-0571.

TAKING STAND AGAINST RACISM: The YWCA of Warren will host a “Stand Against Racism” event throughout the day on Thursday. Program participants will work on projects that will also be displayed at the Family Fun Night being held 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. The families of participants in Before and After School and TEAM will gather at the event to foster friendships and give families ideas for bonding at home.

TOWNSHIP PLANS CLEANUP: Weathersfield Township cleanup will be held the week of May 6 with residents to place items at curbside during their regularly scheduled trash collection day. The township is also offering a chipping program each Friday through October. Residents need to call the township no later than 4:15 p.m. the Thursday of the week you wish to have chipping done.
