Service held for Good Friday
EVENT TO MARK GOOD FRIDAY: A Stations of the Cross ecumenical Holy Week service will be held at noon today for Good Friday at McKinley Memorial Library grounds in downtown Niles. Weather permitting, the service will be held outside in the library courtyard. Those attending can bring a folding chair.
The event is being hosted by the Niles Clergy Association.
GENEALOGY CLASS OFFERED: A “Beginning Genealogy Class” will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Local History / Genealogy Center, second floor of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren. The class will teach beginners how to start a genealogical search by examining local print resources.

READING TO PUPS: “Pups and Pages,” which provides children in kindergarten to sixth grade with the opportunity to read for 15 minutes to a registered therapy dog will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library. Dogs are provided by K-9s for Compassion, a Delta Society pet partner group that assists with animal-assisted activity and animal-assisted therapy.

HELPING AT EASTER: Employees at West Corporation in Niles came together to help the Warren Family Mission and presented 3,600 nonperishable food items, which will be used for the monthly food bags given to residents in need. This is the fourth time in just over a year that West Corp has donated to the mission.
