Safety forces tribute planned

TRIBUTE TO SAFETY FORCES: The Howland Rotary Club will hold the 36th annual Tribute to the Howland Safety Forces from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday at Howland High School cafeteria. Police and fire rescue personnel will be on hand to meet with residents. Children’s safety kits will be available along with safety talks and demonstrations. Entertainment will be by Take II Combo and Howland High School band and chorus.

SOCIETY TO MEET: Trumbull County Genealogical Society will meet at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in the Thomas Meeting Room of the Warren-Public Library. The program is on Saint Patrick and his life presented by Donna Drakides, vice president.

GROUP TO MEET: The Youngstown Toastmasters will meet at 6:45 p.m. each Monday at Beeghly Medical Park, 6505 Market St., Boardman. Toastmasters provides a positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills which in turn fosters self confidence and personal growth.

EVENT TO HELP YOUTH: LaBrae People to People Student Ambassador will hold a fundraiser from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday the Renaissance Place, 1952 Palmyra Road, Warren. The event includes a 50-50 drawing, food, Chinese auction and prizes. Admission is $5 is wearing a “mad” hat or $7.50. LaBrae Student Ambassadors are holding fundraisers as each student must raise $7,000 to go July 14 to Aug. 1 to the Student Ambassador program.
