Valentine open house planned

MUSEUM PLANS VALENTINE OPEN HOUSE: The Sutliff Museum located on the second floor of the Warren -Trumbull County Public Library will hold a Valentine open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 16. The public is invited to have punch and cookies along with a visit to a Victorian parlor.

During February the Sutliff is showing Victorian valentines. The cards from a private collection are in the display cases around the museum.

POSITIVE CHANGE GROUP TO MEET: Trumbull for Positive Change will hold their monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at IUE CWA 717 Union Hall, 2950 Sferra Drive, Warren. Jeff Butts with Chess is Life is the guest speaker. The public is invited at 7 p.m.

GROUP TO PLAN FUNDRAISERS: The Community Concerned Citizens will meet at 5 p.m. Monday at the Bruda Center, 221 Highland Ave., Warren, to discuss finances, fundraising and future events. For information, call 330-719-3139.

PARISH PLANS FUNDRAISER: Blessed Sacrament Parish, 3020 Reeves Road N.E., Warren, will host the 11th annual Pasta Cook-Off and Wine Tasting at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the parish’s Covelli Gymnasium. Local restaurants and amateurs compete for the People’s Choice award in their pasta category, and local wine makers compete for the gold prize in their categories. Celebrity judges will help select pasta winners.

Presale tickets are available at the parish at $13 for adults and $6 for children 11 and younger. Family prices also available. Tickets at the door will be more.

CHURCH HOSTS BLOOD DRIVE: Glenn Christian Church, 5540 Parkman Road, Warren, will sponsor an American Red Cross blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be a free buffet lunch and a drawing for a $25 gift card for the Eastwood Mall in Niles.

CRAFTY KIDS?PROGRAM?PLANNED: The Howland Library Branch, 9095 E. Market St., is hosting a Crafty Kids program for children ages 5 to 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. The program is free.

PHYSICAL FITNESS FUN: Free children’s physical fitness fun will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Girard High School cafetorium, 1244 Shannon Road. There will be free multiple health screenings and booths. For information, call 330-233-4916.
