TEST KNOWLEDGE OF CANDY: The Teen Candy Bar Challenge is being held through February at the Brookfield Library Branch, 7032 Grove St. Teens in grades 7 to 12 can drop in and test their candy bar knowledge with a sweet quiz. Winner gets a prize package.

NILES CLUB HOSTS EVENT: The Niles Lions Club is hosting their annual Night at the Races 7 p.m. Saturday at Ciminero’s Banquet Center. Entry tickets are $10. Patrons will be treated to food and drinks. There will be gift baskets, 50-50 raffle and other drawings. For information, call 330-974-8090. During the past two years the club has awarded $6,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors from Niles and Mineral Ridge. The group is also raising money to help purchase Pilot dogs to guide local blind citizens. The cost of training a dog is $8,200.
