Farming program held for women

PROGRAM OFFERED FOR WOMEN: “Women in Farming,” an informational program for women in agriculture will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Trumbull County Agriculture and Family Education Center conference room, 520 W. Main St. The program will include discussions on farm loan programs, farm bill programs, and livestock and crop programs. Those attending are asked to call 330-637-2056, Ext. 109, by Wednesday.

FARMERS MARKET SET: The monthly Howland Farmers Market will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the park gazebo on East Market Street. There will be various specialty products. For information, call 330-856-2340.

BLOCK WATCH SET: The Hubbard Blockwatch will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hubbard Public Library, 436 W. Liberty St.

YOUNG SCIENCE WIZARDS AT WORK: The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren, will hold a “Young Science Wizards” program at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Children in kindergarten to third grade will be able to experiment within the magical world of science through hands-on activities.

AFFAIR TO REMEMBER WOMAN: Integrity Beauty Women of Excellence will be sponsoring its third annual event in memory of Helen L. Albert from 5 to 11 p.m. March 30 at the Hippodrome in Warren. The evening will be used to celebrate Albert’s life and remember the difference she made in Trumbull County.

March 30 is also recognized as the Helen L. Albert Day of Prayer and Paying it Forward.

Tickets are available through Integrity Beauty Women of Excellence. The event will have social hour; dinner, menu, celebration and dancing. There will be various performances and speeches.
