Library hosts art program for kids

ART PROGRAM OFFERED: Children will have the opportunity to use different art media as part of Art in the Afternoon at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Main Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren. The session will focus on a different artistic technique or artist’s individual style. The program is for children in first to sixth grades. GROUP TO MEET: The Northeast Warren Neighborhood Association will meet at 7 p.m. today at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, East Market Street and Central Parkway. Guest speaker will be Bob Pinti of the Warren City Health Department.

DEADLINE APPROACHING FOR PROGRAM: The Trumbull County Educational Service Center’s Saturday Enrichment program is open to all students in second to sixth grades throughout Trumbull County. The winter session allows students to attend classes in a wide range of areas on six Saturdays from Feb. 16 to March 23.

There are 25 course available in cultural awareness, creative writing, drawing, forensic math, computers, science, art and yoga. Courses are held at the Lincoln K-8 School, Atlantic Street. Deadline for registration is Friday. Call 330-505-2800, Ext.107.

FOOD ASSISTANCE OFFERED: The Mahoning Valley Hope Center, Surrey Road, Warren is certified through the Ohio Benefits Bank, a program of the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Food Banks. The service will assist the public in finding out what benefits they may be eligible for as well as applying for all eligible benefits right on site.
