• BANK SUPPORTS MINORITY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Chemical Bank presented a $5,000 check to the Youngstown Business Incubator on July 24 for its Minority Business Assistance Center. The center serves small, minority and disadvantaged businesses in a variety of ways, including through technical assistance and consulting. The Youngstown Minority Business Assistance Center, located at the Youngstown Business Incubator, serves Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, Jefferson, Belmont and Monroe counties.

• REGIONAL CHAMBER TO HOST LAWMAKERS: The Regional Chamber will host a “lattes and legislators” event with U.S. Rep. David Joyce, R-Bainbridge Township, from 8 to 10 a.m. on Aug. 17 at the Peter Allen Inn in Kinsman. Joyce will receive the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Spirit of Enterprise award. The Regional Chamber will also host U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson, R-Marietta, at Eastern Gateway Community College in Youngstown from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Aug. 27. Johnson will also receive the Spirit of Enterprise award.
