BENEFIT MANAGEMENT RECEIVES SERVICE AWARD: Benefit Management Services of Ohio, headquartered in Howland, received the 2016 Ohio Growth Association’s Client Service Award for the 16th consecutive year. The award is given to a member company that demonstrates a strong commitment to providing exceptional client services. HOME SAVINGS EXPANDS CALL CENTER HOURS: Home Savings has expanded the hours of its customer care center. Customer care specialists are available to assist customers 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Customers may contact customer care by calling 1-888-822-4751, Option 2.

CHEMICAL BANK DONATES $10,000 TO SECOND HARVEST: Chemical Bank donated $10,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley to help the organization expand its warehouse. The expansion will add just under 2,000 square feet to the existing warehouse.

YBI NAMES DIRECTOR: Youngstown Business Incubator has named Carmella Williams the new director of the Women In Entrepreneurship Program. Williams is replacing previous director Stephanie Gilchrist. Williams’s relationship with YBI began in 2016 when she participated in the first WE Launch Class to help her grow her business. She became the first WE Launch grant recipient for her hair and beauty supply business, Carmella Marie. WE was created in 2016 to help promote the growth and creation of women-owned businesses as a channel for creating personal and community wealth.

GLAM CANDI OPENS IN WARREN: Glam Candi Beaute’ Bar & Boutique has opened in Warren at 1216 E. Market St. The beauty service and accessory boutique was co-founded by mother / daughter team Lisa Davenport and Alissia Brown.

GREY BOUTIQUE OPENS IN BOARDMAN: Grey Boutique, a women’s clothing store, has opened at 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman. Owner Amy Abruzere graduated in 2000 with a degree in fashion merchandising and has more than 18 years of retail experience.
