GM to report its fourth quarter 2016 earnings
LORDSTOWN — General Motors Co. will announce its fourth quarter 2016 financial results Feb. 7.
The Detroit auto-maker, which manufactures the Chevrolet Cruze at its assembly plant in Lordstown, reported a record profit for the third quarter of 2016 that doubled results of the same period in 2015.
The company’s third-quarter net income was reported at $2.8 billion, or $1.76 per share, an increase of 104 percent over $1.36 billion, or 84 cents per share, the prior year’s quarter. Revenue hit a record $43 billion, up 10.3 percent, for the 2016 quarter that ended Sept. 30.
