‘Hamilton’ lottery offers $10 tickets in Pittsburgh

Remaining tickets for “Hamilton” range from $150 to $530 when the Tony- and Pulitzer-winning musical opens at Pittsburgh’s Benedum Center on Tuesday, but 40 tickets will be available for $10 for every performance during the four-week run.

A digital lottery starts 11 a.m. two days before each performance and closes 9 a.m. the day before the performance. For example, the lottery runs from 11 a.m. Sunday until 9 a.m. Monday for Tuesday’s opening night.

No purchase or payment is necessary to participate. Ticket seekers can register online at HamiltonMusical. com/lottery or by downloading the Hamilton app. Only one entry per person. Repeat entries and disposable email addresses will be discarded. Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid, non-expired photo ID that matches the name used to enter.

Winner and non-winner notifications will be sent at approximately 11 a.m. the day prior to the performance via email and text.

Winners will be allowed to purchased up to two tickets for the performance. Tickets must be purchased online with a credit card by 4 p.m. the day prior to the performance using the purchase link and code in a customized notification email. Tickets not claimed by 4 p.m. are forfeited.

Lottery tickets may be picked up at will call for the Benedum Center, 237 Seventh St., Pittsburgh, beginning two hours prior to the performance with a valid photo ID. Lottery tickets will be voided if resold.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; 8 p.m. Friday; 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday; and 1 and 7 p.m. Sunday through Jan. 27. Regular-priced tickets are available online at trustarts.org.
