Covered Bridge Fest set for Jefferson

The 35th Ashtabula County Covered Bridge Festival is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Jefferson.

Visitors can enjoy crafters, food vendors, covered bridge souvenirs, music and strolling entertainment, a parade on Saturday, antique tractor and engine displays, homemade apple butter cooked over a fire in a kettle, bean soup at the Historical Society and kids activities at the library. Several of the county’s museums will have displays in the community center.

The festival takes place on East Jefferson Street from Chestnut Street going east to the railroad tracks. Admission is free. For more information, go to www.coveredbridgefestival.org.
