• It’s common for parents to hand down the businesses to their children and relatives. I guess the same is possible with bands. “The Music of Cream — 50th Anniversary World Tour” will feature Ginger Baker’s son Kofi Baker, Jack Bruce’s son Malcolm Bruce and Eric Clapton’s nephew Will Johns playing the music their elders made a half century ago. The tour comes to the State Theatre at 8 p.m. Nov. 1. Tickets range from $25 to $45 and go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday at the Playhouse Square box office.
• 98 Degrees will return to the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park with its Christmas tour at 8 p.m. Nov. 23. Tickets range from $39.50 to $79.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster.
