‘Trailer Park Musical’ opens

The Dublin Grange Theatre Co. of Canfield will stage “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” for a three-performance run.

The show is described as a country-rock and blues music about agoraphobia, adultery, ’80s nostalgia, spray cheese, road kill, hysterical pregnancy, a broken electric chair, kleptomania, flan and disco. It focuses on a regular guy, Norbert, and his agoraphobic wife, Jeannie, whose marriage is threatened by Armadillo Acres’ newest resident, a hot young stripper named Pippi who is on the run from ex-boyfriend Duke.

The trailer park also plays home to a Greek-chorus-like trio of women Betty, Linoleum and Pickles, each dysfunctional in her own right.

The show is directed by Marlene Strollo with musical direction by Ed Phillips, and the cast includes Christopher Scott, Stacy Anderson, Jacob Butler, Jennifer Kuczek, Julie Detchon, Jenna Cintavey and Adrienne Mackey.

“The Great American Trailer Park Musical” will be staged at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Dublin Grange, 6571 Fairground Blvd., Canfield. The show is intended for adult audiences. Tickets are $15 and can be reserved at www.dublingrangetheatre.com and by calling 330-518-5064.
