Easy Street postpones ‘Starcatcher’ until fall

Easy Street Productions’ staging of the Tony Award-winning play “Peter and the Starcatcher,” originally scheduled to open on May 5, has been postponed.

Easy Street cofounder Todd Hancock said slow sales for the school performances and other extenuating circumstances encouraged the theater company to put off the show until fall.

The play, written by Rick Elise, takes place before the events of “Peter Pan” and serves as a sequel to J.M. Barrie’s “Peter and Wendy.” It opened on Broadway in 2012. It was nominated that year for 10 Tony Awards, including Best Play, and won five.
