Ghoulardifest features WJW personalities

Fans of 1960s Cleveland movie host Ghoulardi will gather this weekend for the annual Ghoulardifest.

The festival celebrates the character created by WJW-TV’s Ernie Anderson in the ’60s (Anderson went on to become the voice of ABC). Big Chuck Schodowski got his start on that show, and many of the performers featured there and on subsequent WJW shows will be in attendance, including Lil’ John Rinaldi and Bob “Hoolihan” Wells. Other WJW-TV personalities will be featured this year, including Neil Zurcher all three days and Robin Swoboda, Tim Taylor and Jan Jones on Saturday.

The Take II Band will perform at 10 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday with plans to do a set of music from the 1950s.

Ghoulardifest runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at La Villa Party and Conference Center, 11500 Brookpark Road, Cleveland. Admission is $15 each day or $30 for weekend pass with children 12 and younger admitted free. For more information, call 440-230-4500.
