Richard and Marlene Cherry Pearce of Brookfield celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 10, hosted by their daughter, Rachelle Coley, and niece, Rachel Pearce. Their guests were entertained with a Western murder mystery by actors from “Mysteries Most Wanted” of Pittsburgh.
Dick and the former Marlene Cherry were married July 9, 1966, at the former Pentecostal Holiness Church, Hermitage, Pa., by the Rev. Allen M. Cherry, father of the bride, assisted by the Rev. Lawrence Pfaff.
Dick retired from the Packard Electric Division, Warren, in 1999 with 35 years of service. He is a part-time motor coach driver for O.D. Anderson Coach and Travel, Greenville, Pa., and a part-time limousine driver for FAB Limousine, Youngstown.
Marlene, also a retiree of Packard, retired in 1997 with 31 years.
The couple enjoy camping in their fifth-wheel, cruising in their 1956 Thunderbird, ballroom dancing and spending time with their family and friends. They also enjoy their winters in the South or Southwest where they visit family.
