HEALING FOR THE HURTING: The Corner House Christian Church, 6954 Chestnut Ridge Road, Hubbard, is hosting a support group for people who have experienced any kind of separation or loss, including by death, dismemberment, divorce, job loss or loss of direction and purpose in life. Meetings will take place at 2 p.m. every other Saturday — this week, Oct. 27 and Nov. 10. Additional sessions are to be determined.

The facilitator, Don Cooper, Northeast Ohio Bible College president, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Atlanta Christian College, and a Master of Arts in Religion and the equivalence of a Master of Divinity at the Emmanuel School of Religion. He has been counseling for 35 years and frequently holds weekend seminars for family enrichment at churches.
