TRUMBULL COUNTY CARES: Trumbull County CARES, a monthly suppport group for children who have lost a parent to addiction or have a parent in active addiction, and those who are caring for them, will meet 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21, March 21, April 18, May 16, June 13.

Support groups will be divided into three separate groups to allow age-appropriate sharing — ages 8 to 12, 13 to 17 and 18 and older. Childcare for children aged 7 and under will be available, but you must call to reserve.

HEALTH SYMPOSIUM: Dr. Rodney Hill, a Fellow of The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and of the Associates in Women’s Health of the Mahoning Valley, Youngstown, will be a sponsor and a speaker at the third annual health symposium at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority, 31 W. Boardman St., Youngstown.

The event is hosted by the Youngstown Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and will focus on health and cancer awareness and prevention. There will be health screenings, vendors and speakers.

HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS: Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care’s “Change Your Future” campaign reaches out to volunteers for assisted living facilities and nursing facilities. Volunteers are welcome to help Crossroads staff in the office.

Volunteers can share their favorite activities like reading, card games, playing music, or arts and crafts. They may bring their pets to visit patients or run errands and provide respite for family members.

IMMUNIZATIONS: Warren City Health District, 258 E. Market St., Suite 327, Warren, will hold regular childhood immunization clinics 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 26. All clinics are walk-in. Bring updated shot records. The child should be well, free of fever, rash or illness. A $21.25 administration fee is charged.

DUAL-DIAGNOSIS CONNECTIONS: National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Mahoning Valley announces a new Connections support group for adults dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues.
